At Gender Voice Centre, we understand that mental health care needs to be inclusive, affirming, and tailored to each person’s lived experience. Our psychology services are designed to support transgender, gender-diverse, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent clients with compassionate, evidence-based care.

Our Clinical Psychology Registrar, Sandra, brings extensive experience in:

  • LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy

  • Neurodivergence-affirming approaches (ADHD, autism)

  • Trauma-informed care including EMDR, Imagery Rescripting, and DBT skills

  • Grief, loss, and adjustment support

  • Suicide prevention and crisis intervention

  • Cultural awareness and intersectionality-informed practice

Our Psychologist, Vishnu, brings extensive experience in:

  • ​​Neurodivergence-affirming therapy (Autism, ADHD across the lifespan)

  • Comprehensive diagnostic assessments for Autism, ADHD, and related presentations

  • Child and adolescent mental health, including play-based and developmentally appropriate interventions

  • Parent coaching and family-centred support, including collaborative planning with schools

  • Strengths-based, person-centred therapeutic approaches

  • Emotional regulation, anxiety, and self-understanding support for children, teens, and adults

  • Culturally informed and intersectionality-aware practice​

Our approach

We use evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, combined with a person-centred, affirming, and culturally safe approach.

Price and rebates

A 50 minute session with our Clinical Psychology Registrar is $233 and with a mental health care plan, you will receive a $98.97 rebate for 10 sessions. The gap fee will be $134 per medicare session (you'll need to claim the rebate yourself via medicare)
