Do I need a professional mic and camera?

Any phone, laptop, desktop, or iPad with an inbuilt microphone will work fine. The better the mic, the clearer we can hear you.

In saying that, we are trained to pick up subtle changes in voice and don't require you to spend money on equipment if you don't already have it.

How do I get a referral?

To gain access to the $50 appointments, you'll need a Chronic Disease Management Plan from your GP.

Please refer it to Gender Voice Centre, Sydney 2000, and email it to admin@gendervoicecentre.com.au

You don't need a referral to start your appointments, only to get access to the lower session price.

Where will I meet you?

Each Speech Pathologist has their own video link. Your link will be sent to you with your confirmation email. If you're booking a free consult online, please ensure you include your email address.

Where are you located?

We are a global telehealth practice based in Australia and see clients around the globe. We run on Australian Eastern Standard Time (NSW/VIC/TAS/ACT)

How long is your waitlist?

We do not have a wait list.

How frequent are the sessions?

Evidence Based Practice  recommends weekly therapy sessions, however, if you need to skip a week, life happens. Skipping a week won't impact your progression, although you'll achieve greater results if you can do daily practice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I keep getting the medicare plan for $50 sessions?
Do you do the medicare claims for me?

Our $50 appointment prices are for first time clients. If you wish to get another medicare referral 12 months after your first one, you will be paying full price ($120) and claim back $63 for each session, for up to five sessions (out of pocket $57)

No, we ask you to please claim your medicare rebate through Mygov>Medicare>"make a claim". You will be charged the full fee of $113 but you will receive the medicare rebate of $63 about 5 days after you submit the claim using the details from your paid receipt.
